Marcia Milgrom Dodge, Stage Director
Biography

Marcia Milgrom Dodge is a highly acclaimed director & choreographer whose work has been seen throughout the United States and abroad.  She was the first woman to direct & choreograph a musical produced by The Kennedy Center and her celebrated 2009 revival of Ragtime moved to Broadway after its sold-out run in Washington, DC earing a 2010 Tony Award Nomination for Best Director of a Musical, two Drama Desk Award nominations, an Astaire Award nomination and she won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Direction of a Resident Musical. Her concert staging of My Fair Lady starring Jonathan Pryce & Laura Michelle Kelly was presented at The Kennedy Center and at The Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara.  New York: Off Broadway’s Venus Flytrap (The Active Theater); Seussical The Musical (Theatreworks USA/Lortel Award nomination); Cookin’Radio Gals, Maltby & Shire's Closer Than Ever (choreographed original production) and William Finn's Romance In Hard Times (The Public Theatre.)

Regional Theaters include: Denver Center Theatre Company (world premiere of Sense & Sensibility The Musical and Jeffrey Hatcher’s One Foot On The Floor);Bucks County Playhouse (Really Rosie); Pasadena Playhouse (Rob Sternin & Prudence Fraser’s new comedy Under My Skin); Glimmerglass Festival (The Music Man); Reprise Theatre Company (Cabaret and How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying/Garland Award for Choreography); Maltz Jupiter Theatre (The King and I, Hello, Dolly!/Carbonell Award for Direction and Anything Goes/Carbonell Award for Choreography), Bay Street Theatre (A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Once On This Island, The Who’s Tommy and  Sherlock Holmes & The West End Horror co-written with her husband Anthony Dodge/Edgar Award nomination for Best Play), many shows at Sacramento Music Circus, Flat Rock Playhouse, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Goodspeed, Huntington Theatre and Arena Stage (Of Thee I Sing/Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding Choreography. Korea & Asian Tour); Goosebumps Live On Stage (Wintergardens, Blackpool, UK.) Exciting collaborations with Julie Andrews (Simeon’s Gift), Stephen Sondheim & George Furth (Merrily We Roll Along), Rupert Holmes (Thumbs!), Des McAnuff (Elmer Gantry) and Robert Falls & John Logan (Riverview).
